Ceros Desktop Edition

Ceros Desktop Edition

We are currently taking pre-orders for the Ceros Desktop, slated to ship November 1st, 2009. This unit measures in at an ultra-compact 8.5″ wide by 10″ long and 3″ tall — smaller than a ream of paper! The Ceros Desktop was designed specially  for users who need a powerful processing solution but don’t require a massive, power-hungry server.

The Ceros Desktop’s small size and low power usage make it an ideal solution for many situations, such as SOHO offices, satellite or remote offices, any many others. It’s best suited for installations up to 25-50 users, though its computing power can handle many more. The unit is powered by a compact 12VDC power supply which makes this an ideal mobile solution as well as keeping power usage and heat to a minimum. The unit has space for up to two short form factor PCI cards and can handle up to 16 analog channels FXO or FXS using two R8FXX-EC modular cards or up to 24 Analog FXO or FXS channels through use of a R1T1 card and channel bank combination. By combining these cards with any standard short from-factor PCI card and the flexibility of VoIP, the Ceros Desktop can fit your needs, whatever they may be. The Ceros Desktop can be your primary PBX or a remote connection back to your main site. Unlike other compact solutions, the Ceros Desktop is built in the spirit of its Ceros cousins. Designed and built in the USA with pride, its steel chassis and quality components will long outlast the competition’s cookie-cutter plastic box from Taiwan or China. The Ceros Desktop runs a standard Intel x86 processor making it compatible with any PBX or Linux distribution (or most anything else) you wish to use. It’s the perfect, open hardware server, whether you need to replace a  group of fax machines, extend some remote POTS lines with a VoIP trunk to your main office, or you just need a compact PBX for your business. Whatever your need the Ceros Desktop is ready for business.
